- Sentries of Camelot -
Ruby Morgan (Book 2)
No place is safe from the Harvesters out for my magical blood.
When a police officer suspects foul play in the force, and asks me to help him, I have every reason in the world to say no.
My studies are piling up, Harvesters are on my tail, and my guardian shadow is still lurking about. And the icing on the cake: my powers are taking on a life of their own.
I’m not nosy for nothing, however, so of course I’ll add shady detective work to my list of worries, taking the plunge into the terrifying unknown of the sentries of Camelot.
This may be my worst decision ever.
Before Reading "Sentries of Camelot"...
“Sentries of Camelot” is the second book in the “Ruby Morgan” series. As such, I highly recommend reading “Essence of Magic” first, since it introduces you to the characters and their world.
"Sentries of Camelot" Reviewed
Things have quietened down a little for Ruby Morgan until an incident sets her on a dangerous path.
I loved this book, and how it seemed to follow on naturally from where the last one left off, even though time had passed between the two. The characters have matured since we first met them, and are starting to come into their own, even as the relationships between them have evolved.
What really makes this book so much fun for me is that we get to learn more about the world Ruby lives in, and get a chance to explore London, and what it means to live in a world where magic is real. There are some really lovely little pieces of information scattered through the book that made me realize that Ruby’s world is a lot like our own, but subtly different.
